Old Navy Swim Suits for Summer!

Crowdtap provided a certificate for one free swim suit for a friend and myself! I was so excited to get the certificates in the mail. Moving has been stressful and this was the perfect excuse to go shopping with a friend. Erica and I met me at Old Navy while our husbands went off to find the nearest beer and steakhouse. We were surprised at all of the options. Of course, I haven't shopped for a bathing suit in 5 years, so this size was a big guess for me. I picked up 2 sizes in everything and headed to the changing room. There were a couple of pretty quick "NO!s" that I wouldn't even come out of the room to show Erica. The words "beached whale" come in to mind. Although they are cute suits, lets just say that they didn't exactly extenuate the areas I wanted them to. I'm one of those people that tries on a lot of stuff and makes "no," "possible," and "gotta choose between" piles. There were lots of "possible" suits. Very cute, not bad on me, but maybe not perfect enough. With the solid fact that without a freebie coupon they would not be chosen. But they weren't out of the running completely. Here is the assortment of "possible" choices. There were lots of mix and match that I liked. I really liked the ones that allowed you to adjust the top for support. They were really cool. I also liked the patterns that there were to choose from. However, none of them flattered me quite as well as the one I chose. (here goes, photo of me in a very unflattering fitting room!!!) As you can see, my hips, stomach, and boobs are like with all women, my "areas of interest." I loved this suit because it nicely hid my belly and was as flattering as I expect anything to be on me in the butt area. But mostly, it has underwire support in the top! I instantly enjoyed the little lift it gave me and the support later. When I was going through the possible pile at the end, I figured this was the major factor in why I thought this one was the most comfortable. It also is a two piece, so no peeling out of a wet one piece when the potty calls me. I was happy with it. I love the color. I really like patterns, but they all were a little too much for me. This one is a nice solid color, but a pop of something to make me feel a little pretty. I love the rouching in the belly as well as the chest. Just a hint of girly to make me feel good. After the suit was picked out, the accessories had to follow! So I found some matching flip flops, a cute hat to keep the sun away, and a scarf to make it look like I'm trying a little. What do you think? Oh yeah, and Erica...well hers was awesome too! She's off to Mexico soon and the little number she picked out will look Hot Hot Hot while she's there. She certainly has a lucky husband! Thank you Thank you Thank you Old Navy & Crowdtap for providing a wonderful excuse to go shopping!
